About me
Hi I’m Fernanda, a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). I have experience of working with learners and full licence holders of varying ages and backgrounds. I hold a full enhanced DBS, which can be shared as requested.
Prior to becoming an ADI I worked as a front line paramedic including blue light driving. I still hold a HCPC registration as a paramedic and hold a current blue light driving qualification.

Institute of Advanced Drivers
- UK’s largest independent road safety charity, dedicated to making our roads safer through improved driver and rider training and education.
Driving Instructors Association
- Provide support and training, including CPD, for driver trainers.
Qualifications:
Level 4 Certificate in Education in Training:
- This qualification has allowed me to enchance the way I teach, tailoring my teaching to the needs of the learner.
Level 4 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Awards
- Within driver training I use this to plan and conduct mock driving tests at the appropriate time, and to give SMART feedback so that learners can use those assessments to benefit their onward driving education.
DVSA ADI
- I completed my ADI training in June 2023 and have so far enjoyed many successes with learners, both provisional licences holders and full licence holders.
Learner Drivers
I offer 1 and 2 hour learner lessons, depending on your needs and availability, in my manual dual controlled car.
All my lessons are client centred, meaning that you will progress at your own pace. Where I can, I will accommodate specific learner needs.
To start lessons you will need a provisional car licence. Throughout lessons I will test your theory knowledge so that you are well prepared for your theory test.

Confidence building
These lessons are for full car licence holders. They can be held in your own car or if you are a manual car licence holder they can be in my car.
These are suited for drivers who are nervous or have had a bad experience they wish to work through.
I offer 2 hour confidence building sessions, where I work with you to analyse and identify problem areas so that you can continue your journey with confidence.

Pass plus
Pass Plus is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely.
It can be taken at any time although it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test.
Some insurers lower their premiums for clients holding a Pass Plus certificate.

preparing for blue lights
As an experienced emergency response driver myself, I know what it takes to get to an incident safely and fast. I have experience of assisting to deliver the Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving, and using this knowledge I have devised a pre-course to this.
During this course you will be introduced to skills and techniques that will set you up for success, including the use of the system of car control, and aspects from Roadcraft.
Please note that you WILL NOT be driving on blue lights or under emergency response conditions during this course.
